I find it more comfy and less anxiety provoking to dress modestly.

I get what she means by everything is plasticy, I bought a few jackets 15 years ago, they all had a plastic feel, needless to say they are all in the dump like most of the clothes they sell

sometimes if it's a huge snag i do that- then cut it and tie it so it won't cause a run

I have had several modesty dress videos pop in front of me on youtube, I guess because once I watched the first one, I clicked on another because I was curious as to the reasons those women were choosing to dress a certain way. However most of the other ones were just bad, their reasons revolving around men and attention, just frivolous reasons and as if women have to live their lives to satisfy other people (very unhealthy), also what would look modest to one person might look immodest to another (so there would be no end to the demands). However your video is the first real and healthy one I have come across! I also like that you realize that modesty will look a bit different to different women, according to their consciences and environment, and you did not tie your reasons to men or other people's opinions. If women are going to try to dress in a way that "men" find modest, there is no end to the discomfort and erasure of her own self that she will need to do, because there are some men who will sexualize anything and any woman (regardless of what she is wearing). All you have to do is look at Islamic dress, and how uncomfortable most of it is for the woman (at some point it just becomes about controlling and objectifying women). I also like how you mentioned that museum about r*pe, showing what women were wearing. I like that your reasons are for YOU and your comfort. For me I would never wear long sleeves to the gym in the Summer or when it is hot (I wear short sleeves mostly when it is hot), but for you that is modest. I think if more women embrace dressing in a way that boosts their own comfort and expresses self worth (since our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit), then most women's dress would automatically become more modest and less tight that what some women wear today. Also yes modest dress (middle ground dress, as I like to call it) would boost women's confidence more and make them less insecure about their bodies and less focused on frivolity. In the end, thinking about the modesty discussion after watching these videos, I think the terminology needs to be shifted to comfort. I realize that this post turned out long, but thumbs up to you for having the right reasons as to why you choose to dress the way you do, and for respecting other women's choices (that comfort and the concept of modesty will vary among women), while promoting the comfort and confidence that comes with choosing comfortable clothes over skimpy clothes. Lasty, I would like to conclude with this Bible verse: "“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. This is my first time watching one of your videos. I am curious about the photos you use to illustrate the "don'ts." You show faces ... and I wonder if you got written permission from those people to use their images? I sure hope you did! I know that I would feel humiliated if someone used a photo of me online, without my permission.

I have heard my Zara clothes for years and have been exclusively shopping in Zara for decades. Girl, bye!

For me, I like dressing modestly because I believe that it glorifies God in a way, as I recognize that he has made me beautiful, and gave me so much dignity. And it’s because of my beauty and self worth that I feel that my body should be protected and cherished in fine clothing.

Come up with a trend of environmental healthy clothing wreathe woven living flowers fungi footwear that spreads spores with every step. Use the parts of the environment that our bodies are naturally benefitted by and incorporate them into our clothing in a way that is beneficial to our environment. Besides, clothing is disposable it all wears out eventually so why not. Look into some other cultures clothing styles as well... think elvish or dryad or druid or fairy clothing lol you'll find something

I’ve been buying some Zara used or slightly used from eBay and they look great, but the fabrics suck. Especially those coats that are made to look like wool, but are polyester blend and starts piling only after a few wears. I have a lot of clothes and don’t wear the same thing often, but coming from a designer background, it annoys me these Zara items that are made out of cheap fabrics. Meaning I feel like I could only get like 15 to 20 wears and then toss out. It’s kind of ashamed bc I like their cuts and styles, but being made out of cheap fabrics really turn me off. Meaning even high end designer, if it doesn’t seem well made or great fabrics, I don’t want it or want to own it. I mean I take pride in my clothes and that also means to have something that’s made well.

As a new subscriber, I wanted to applaud you for this video and for your efforts with the aim of your channel. Bravo! I earnestly hope more women will be drawn to your channel and apply the ideas you’ve proposed here. 👏👏 👍

While I appreciate that there are channels like this that exist as voices of reason, it's wild to me that grown adults in the modern age need to be taught how to dress. The future has indeed arrived, in all of its dystopian glory.

I also do not like Zara and also HM. I go there and never buy anything as the fit is weird (boxy, ovesized, too revealing, etc...), looks cheap but is not and also the clothing is very extravagant. I do not understand why people love Zara.

As an extreme pear shape, I feel like the crop top tips were super helpful. I am also tall, but my bottom is 2 sizes bigger than my top, so nothing every fits both! Im gonna try that out! I wear midi dresses as shirts. Mini dresses may be too short to wear as a shirt for me. You can also put leggings under a shorter dress, like capris or full length. I always wear black, long-legged shorts under any dress because where I live is quite windy. The lacy detail in the jeans is overwhelming, and the dress needs something lighter for the sleeves. It may be better if bigger and more flowy around the forearm area, instead of sinched in at the wrist. The contrasting colar looks small, so it makes the orange look bigger in the shoulders. A white or off white collar that is bigger would work. Pants are fine, just a little off with this specific dress.

Im over being told I don't get to complain about seeing someones sexual organs against my will. Our society is disrespectful to others and when someone says something then... now they're the victim?! No. Dressing modest is hygenic, respectful to others and helps prevent skin cancer. If you want to be seen as more than a sex object... put your sex objects away and out of view so we can see you for your other features. ;)
